Disgusting Real Player behavior

Running XPsp2. Whether it's a final previous version or the latest 11 Beta, there always seem to be functionality issues with RP, especially with web based content such as internet radio...'now playing' windows that won't display, erratic behavior with visualizations, and now with the 11 Beta...relentless ad repetition. It's a beta yes but I'm sick of Real's general inconsistency. Who's with me? ...btw, just go to RP's support forums and see all the frustrations posted there!

 

Thanks for the tip. I was venting about RP. No media player I've run has been more quirky than Real.

Real Player software rates right up there with AOL software IMO. Don't put much stock in QT either. If using OEM restore disks to reinstall Microsoft Windows they are the first things to remove, don't even give them a chance to run. Microsoft software is treading on thin ice as an OS as well. XP is waitng on SP3, and Vista is still in drydock. The price of full install software for Vista is ludicrous, should have been priced at the upgrades price, and an upgrade should not even have been an option. After purchasing two Microsoft Office Suites, 95 and Small Business, all I can say is fool me three times shame on me. Still use Office 95 on XP Home Edition.

I've never been to crazy about it. And when I see it on a PC that I'm working on, I remove it and try to find something else for the owner to use. rolleyes

I've had issues with it in the past. I remember back in the day, an anti-virus program once said it was bad, but anyways, no Real Player for me. :fartuke

Well said that man! Not only do you get Real Player Alternative but you also get QuickTime alternative as well as a bunch of other stuff.

I would recommend it to everyone.

 

Just a quick question, what is your main browser, IE, opera, or FF?

BTW, I also use K-Lite mega codec pack with FF 3.0a7pre
