ok, i have a spare machine. its really old. i want to turn it into a server. is it possible to install a distro without a cd? i have an ipod if its possible to boot from that. or could i mount the iso in daemon tools and install it onto the other HDD then switch it to my other pc? (would the chipset interfere with that?)

If I were going to setup a disk, I would move the drive.

Depends on how old the machine is?

DX-266 or P3-933 are lightyears apart in what you can do with them.
