dlna issues

not sure if this is the right forum, but having probs connecting my avr to windows 7 pc. pc/windows media player sees avr but not vice versus. avr is onkyo ht-rc180 & only 2 months old. when i click the "net" button on the remote takes me to internet radio etc but no media files from the pc. can't find any answers anywhere & onkyo manual says it's an automatic connect so i'm stumped. onkyo is connected to my network via ethernet cable. thx for any advice!!
