Does Amped wireless nics really work?

I was wondering do these really work? Does it really extend the range from your computer to get better signal from the router?

There are similar methods you can use with USB wireless adapters, too.

 

I got to get a new USB wireless nic anyways that why i am asking.... My USB wireless nic has a problem with my battlefield 2 game causing moments of lag while playing online.

 

All wireless connections will be much slower when it comes to gaming, especially with wireless security as well; gaming needs a solid connection to get good ping times and minimise lag.

 

With my other wireless PCI nic i never had lag but this one always has caused a moment of lag while playing my ping on the game server is 51..
