does anyone know what devldr is?

G'day
I've been having problems with my new computer, and broadband, it's been slow and when i shut down, this file called DVLDR is always "Not Responding" I wonder if it might be a virus?

I conducted a search and the results are as following:

DEVLDR32.EXE-2CF621DF.pf @ C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch
devldr32.exe @ C:\WINDOWS\system32
devldr32.exe @ C:\WINDOWS\Lastgood\System32
devldr32.exe @ C:\WINDOWS\system32\ReinstallBackups...

Do you think it would be safe to delete?

Does this problem happen in Safe Mode?


devldr32.exe is part of your Creative audio drivers, you have a Creative sound card, right? Try reinstalling those audio drivers.

 

I've had the same problem with the same file... it did that for a while, and now seems to have fixed itself (knock on wood). Hope yours cures itself as well..

 

right click on my computer / click propertys / click hardware tab / click device manager scroll down to sound card right click on your sound card and disable it / shut your computer down and restart / the win program will install the drivers for you ... this should help ( note this is using win xp )
