Does SpywareBlaster protect Chrome

    Hi,
    Just a couple of quick questions, does anyone know if Spywareblaster protects the Google Chrome browser ? If not does it help a Chrome user in any other worthwhile way?

    Thanks for the info but I suppose that then begs the question " Does Chrome use the IE engine?"

    Hi, Cheers. It would seem that both Opera and Chrome use the same engine and it's not IE. So if Opera gets protection perhaps it's safe to assume that Chrome follows suit.

    The developer of SpywareBlaster is well aware that Chrome is becoming popular. They are working on adding in the same kind of support as with other browsers.


    One comment I will make though. Many people incorrectly believe SpywareBlaster is providing fulltime antispyware/malware protection. This is not the case. While it is a helpful tool, anyone who thinks that just using SpywareBlaster will protect their PCs or their browsers is grossly mistaken.

    Hi chaslang,
    Thanks for the info.
    I will look out for future developments re Chrome and Spywareblaster.
    The reason I installed it was that I thought it will offer some extra passive protection without interfering with my Avast and IOBit Malware Fighter .
