Don't know much about forum, does pertain to malware!!!!

    I don't know much about this forum, but I did try to follow Read and Run First and since then big problems. As of right now I have a message telling me to repair my registry, but every time I try to run the scan my computer shuts down. So where do I go from here?:cry

    Try to attach the logs form any of the scans that you can do ...esp. the counterspy, Getrun , and HJT. If you have problems, please tell us which scans you could not run and what error messages you get.

    Well, I've got another problem. A lot of my programs corrupted so I had to uninstall them, but everything went down hill after Counterspy. I wasn't able to even run it after I installed it, it just froze up. Now after scanning my computer with any kind of spyware, once it hits a certain folder it reboots. Even when I try to search my computer for a file, when it hits a certain file on that it reboots. I am new at the computer thing so I don't know much, sorry If I am a little confusing.     Can you go to start / programs / accessories / system tools / system restore and try to do a restore point prior to your start of the problems?

    Can you boot into safe mode ( hit f8 repeatedly as your system boots up) ....try first to do safe mode with networking.

    Where you able to follow the Read and Run First and download and run the HijackThis program?

    Are you able to get on the web and run the bit defender scan?
