Download helper install is missing the rotating balls

Mozilla Firefox Download helper in XP32bit has rotating three coloured balls top left, one can click on them and choose a download of the video playing.
I have installed firefox onto my 64bit OS and then download helper, yet see no rotating balls top left in youtube.
What needs doing to get download helper to display them there.

What version of Firefox are us using?
Many of the addons for Firefox has weird issues with various setups, so could be your Windows version, could also be what other addons you have installed as one may conflict.

What is your Windows version and Service Pack?
Does the download helper addon, actually download the videos you need? but does not show the rotating red, yellow, blue balls!

Tools then Download helper and look over the Preferences.

If that does nothing, I did see on the site that it works on FF 4 through 24.

There is no forum, the site has a copyright of 2012 and the documentation stops in 2008. I can see no way to contact the creator.
