Download music videos

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to d/l some music videos. I'm using Lyfox to find the MMS which I copy and paste onto SDP Downloader. That is working out fine for now.

I am reading that one can also use VLC to record the videos as well. I'm not sure how VLC works though. Would I need an URL snooper to find the MMS or does VLC work something like Audacity where it records anything being watched on your computer?

Those that have used VLC, what format are the videos in?
I want to burn my videos to a DVD.
