I turned my computer on, installed my USB Flash Drives. I have 5 for different storage. I am using Windows 10. When I went to use the drives with storage all my drive letters have changed. Is there anyway I can get my original drive letters back on my computer?? Please any help would be so appreciated. I am a senior senior citizen and am getting confused trying to figure out what goes where. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

If it is a portable hard drive, put a label on with the letter you've assigned.

On my husband's USB sticks, I put tags with strings on his sticks so he knows what letter is assigned to each stick.

Advice: don't start with letters in the first part of the alphabet because of hard drive, floppy drive, optical drive and card readers using these letters. Perhaps start with the letter L to begin assigning letters.

What I do is give each drive or partition a name. Instead of "Local Drive", for instance, I name it "Windows 10 Pro" and my USB drives I rename as well depending on what's on them. This way, the name of the drive remains constant no matter what the assigned drive letter is.
