Driver for NVidia GeForce GT8500?

Hi. We recently installed an NVidia GeForce GT8500 video card, but we still can't get our Samsung LCD T220 to display its optimal resolution of 1680 x 1050.

Maximum resolution on the on-board video card and GeForce is only 1440 x 900 even with the latest drivers installed. Does the video card need any additional drivers to support the T220's optimal resolution? Thanks.

 

You didn't mention it, so I'm assuming Windows XP SP2....

Have you tried the latest Omega Drivers for nVidia video cards??? Omega Drivers are drivers available for both nVidia and ATI video cards and are based on the manufacturer's factory drivers, but Omega Drivers have been highly modified and tweaked (and improved, depending on who you ask ) to include features and access to settings not available in the standard factory drivers. Naturally, no guarantee/warranty is offered or in any way implied or suggested. Remember: these are customized drivers; they have not been checked or approved by nVidia or ATI. If it crashes your Windows (although it is HIGHLY unlikely), nobody other than yourself can be held accountable. Now that the legal disclaimer garbage is out of the way, give the Omegas a shot and see if they work for you. Good luck!!! Let us know how it goes!!

Running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 32-bit. No, I haven't tried those and frankly, I'm afraid to try.
