dual boot crash Debian >xp pro

    Is there any way to force linux boot when the system crashes to black screen at the logon prompt.Ditto xp.. Or how do I make a fresh install floppy With chkdsk fdisk .ie to create a ramdrive to mount hd.so I can work in dos..:
    :-o Its a windows box with debian x2 parts + xp x1. Have been using wine to cross the platforms :confused

    Hold shift key at boot to force grub to display menu.

    Black screen may be video drivers. Is this pure debian or a distro?

    As I remember its Debian squeeze Linux 6 I think . Gosh my old chromasomes are really getting fried .

    Debian will allow you to download and create a "Live Boot CD".
