Dual monitors

I was wondering how to go about using the dual monitor feature of Windows XP. Please help I am a Newbie. I am taking a power user group in the next month at school. I just can't wait though, I have second monitor.

I run dual monitors, I run a Video card that supports this, it has dual heads

 

I have a Dell Dimension 3000. Win XP 512MB DDR PC 3200 Intel extreme graphics 2 Intel pentium 4 proccesor 2.80 GHZ but runs at 3.3 GHZ. How to tell if video card has dual heads?

 

I don't think intergrated graphics card have dual heads as it's not a proper video card , but I might be wrong.

 

So do I have the right graphics card? If not which one would be good to replace it with?

A Dell Dimension 3000 is Budget system that has no AGP or PCI-e slots so this will limit you to basic PCI cards

You might be able to buy two Identical Basic PCI video cards & achieve a dual monitor setup

If your into gaming I'd suggest a better PC

 

Thanks for the replies I am starting to understand alot. What does a AGP and PCIe slot look like so when I open the case I will know if I got lucky and received a free upgrade. fingers are crossed.
