    Good day all,

Just a quick question. I've got a user on a machine that has a dual CPU mother board. (Not dual core, actually two separate CPUs). He is currently only using one of these. It's a 3.06 GHz Xeon.

My question is: can we install another processor rated for different speed, and have any hope of success?

    TIA,

    Milty

Not 100% sure but I would say no. I'd say they would have to be identical. You could always try it and post the results.

I'd do that, but we want a definitive answer before placing the order for the CPU... we don't actually have it.
