duplicate file cleaner problem

I am not sure if this is hardware or software so please forgive me if I'm in the wrong one.

can anyone tell me how to remove duplicate programs when i use Easy Cleaner it shows up 6110 duplicate progs now EC will remove duplicate prog's but only one at a time (unless i have missed something) and to do it one at a time will take weeks, so any help would be much appreciated

 

thank's zb I have easy cleaner 2 and as i said it found 6110 duplicate progs these obiously are taking space so i would like to remove them

 

Be very careful removing duplicate files. Due to bad or lazy programmimg, many duplicates are stored by HP, Toshiba, etc., in different Folders, sometimes nested many layers deep. Deleting these may cause the software not to work.

Toshiba manual is a great example with the complete manual being repeated in other Software. Proceed with caution. Bazza

ok thank you both ZB and BigBaz i just thought that duplicates were double files but as you tell me they are not identical thanks for your time and i will leave well alone:wave

 

Investigate them by all means, but pay particular concentration on the path as to where in a Folder, or sub-folder, they are.

You could shift any files you think are duplicates to another Folder (Say C:\Duplicates) but make sure you have a record of the original Path so if a program fails, the file can be put back in it's original place (Folder/Sub-Folder).

It is good experience to track down duplicates and try and figure out why they have been duplicated. Just take care in your decisions. Bazza
