If you have DVDShrink (DS) and DVDDecrypter (DD) its quite simple. When you're compressing an image in DS, check through the tabs. There's an option to compress the image, and automatically burn with DD.

Unfortunately, I'd have to reference my install at home to be any more specifc.

DVD decrypter does not burn DVDs AFAIK.

It needs ImgTool to do that, and even then, it uses the Nero engine, which requires it be installed.

Yes. If you do not have DVD Decrypter, save your shrunken DVD as an .iso image. You can then use Imgburn http://www.majorgeeks.com/ImgBurn_d4870.html to burn that image to a disc.

The Nero 5 that came with your other PC is an OEM copy. It will not work with any PC other than the computer it came with.

As for your other question, there are trial versions of Nero available but they don't give it out for free.

Yeah, it does! You have to set it in ISO write mode (Mode --> ISO --> ISO Write). This is done automatically if it is configured to do so in DVDShrink.

This works flawlessly for me, and sure beats paying for Nero. I will check my install of DS tonight, and post specific instructions.

When you are ready to backup the DVD, a window will open called 'Backup DVD'. Select the first tab which is labeled 'Target Device'. There will be a drop-down menu under 'Select Backup Target'. Set it to 'ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter'. After DVD Shrink processes your disc, it will then automaticallylaunch DVD Decrypter to burn the DVD image it made onto a DVD disc. When DVD Decrypter is done, you can then delete the DVD image file if you wish. As long as you don't change that setting, it will continue to do so each time.
