editing mp3's.. help!

    im sure some of you know that certain songs you download (legally of course) have annoying DJ's yelling all over the song. Is there a program out there that edits mp3's and could maybe detect the annoying yelling and edit it out? any help or opinions on what to do would be great. thank you!:)

    But if you cut in many places through a song, I doubt that it would sound any better, with all the abrupt stops and starts that have no direct continuation between them :)

    You might want to try Audacity.

    I'm sure there is some pay software out there that does it better, but I've seen a few people here who use Audacity. I have it, but have never used it to clean up sound.

    Google for mp3cutter. That way you don't have to convert everything to wav and back. It's free.

    You'll never 100% remove vocals while keeping base music but you can get relatively close with karaoke related software.

    AnalogX Vocal Remover might help a little. Use DirectX version for use with audio editor programs.
