Since about 2 weeks I noticed that I got a lot of "Failed Delivery" emails. I thought it was someone using my email address as a reply-to and just ignored them.
Then yesterday my provider sent me an email saying they had changed my password because there were too many spam emails coming from my computer. They advised me to run a virus scan and solve the issue.

Now I have Norton 360 so I got the latest version, made sure I ran a scan again, but nothing found apart from some tracking cookies.

My provider sent me the link to the ReadMe on this forum and I did all the steps described there. Still nothing found.

I do know that my provider is right that my email address has been used, becasue since they changed the password I haven't received any "Failed Delivery" emails anymore.
But I don't know what to do to get this email virus off my system.

    More information on system:
    Window 7 64 bits
MS Office 2010, using Outlook for email.
The affected email address is a domain email which I download through POP into Outlook. Sending is through Outlook and setting of my internet provider.
    Anti-virus: Norton 360

Hope anyone has tips on how to solve this.

Please click Start, Run, and enter cmd and click OK. This will open a command prompt window. Enter the below commands at the command prompt each followed by the enter key. The bold black are commands. The purple is merely informational.

    • cd \MGtools <-- this changes to the MGtools folder and the prompt should change to C:\MGtools>
    • nwktst<-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
    • GRK64 <-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
    • SN64 <-- this will try to run all another scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.

    Attach the new MGlogs.zip.
