Error Code 1324

Running an Athalon 1.9 P2, 1G Ram, XP Home Edition

I think I hosed up by trying to remove MS Office from my startup via CC Cleaner, which is when my issues started.

Now whenever I open any program the MS Office installing pops up and after a few minutes I get "error 1324 folder Program Files files contains an invalid character"

Upon googling this eror for several hours :tired I find that this error is either a bad character in the folder name or an issue with a registry entry. I am not comfortable with messing with the registry a lot and use Uniblue to fix any reg issues

I have the original Office CD's. If I could wipe this program and start over I would, but I cannot install or even access the folders without this error popping up.

ANy ideas greatly appreciated :confused

 

Run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility here, http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html

You should see some MS Office entries, remove them with the tool and you should be able to reinstall the program.

I should have mentioned, you don't have to reinstall the program if you choose not too. That is up to you. Office may run fine after using the removal tool.
