Ethernet Card Wont Re-Enable!

A few days ago I got 8mb ADSL Broadband connected in my home and also got a router with it. Now upon connecting & setting up the router I get an

error message when trying to connect to the Internet about something to do with the Ethernet connection.

Because of this I decided to go into Device Manager and see what the problem was. I then realised that the Ethernet card was disabled as shown

I then tried to enable it again but got the following message as shown below:





I would appreciate any help I can get to fix this problem, thanks in advance.

Upon opening the computer to put the Ethernet card into a different slot I realised that it's not actually a card, it's built into the motherboard, as in it's part of the motherboard itself. Any ideas where to go from here?

you might be missing the motherboard drivers, if you have a nic spare NIC card I would pop it in, then work the problem later. NIC cards cost $9 at comp usa. What is the model number of the mother board? Also I see your wireless card is also not working. Try unplugging the USB cable to the modem. Is that the 8mb modem?

 

Thanks for all the help everybody but it's started working again for some reason. I just went into device manager and it's enabled. Thanks again.
