explorer wont open pages

hi,my explorer won't open any pages.when i goto open something the screen is just blank.page not found doesnt even come up.i use firefox now and it works fine,but i need the explorer for a few things.i went to the page that says to try all this before asking for help and completed everything.the only online scan i could complete with firefox was the trend micro housecall.after i completed it it said-{Yes, everything's alright! HouseCall did not find any potential threats on your computer- you can go on working reliably}also i couldnt run Microsoft® Windows AntiSpyware because i have win98se.i just completed the steps listed on your hijakthis page and i was wondering if i could post my log.thanks so much

 

new here and i just looked around and i see that lot's of people are posting there hijak info.i guess i'll just atach it and see if anyone can help.hope i'm not screwing this up.thanks

 

Please follow the steps below:

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
