alright just got a 250GB external hardrive.. well its scheduled to backup all my files tonight since i dont want it to slow down my computer right now because i do use it alot :p just wondering when everything is backed up.. can i turn the thing off?

Like common sense says i can turn it off but leave it pluged into my computer.. will this cause anything bad to happen? will my files all be there even if its off for like a month or more?

Just want to know because i dont want to put files on it and delete them here and then find out that they are no longer on the back up harddrive.

yep, you can turn it off, unplug it, move it, etc with no problems. It only needs to stay plugged in and on if you are using automatic backup software.

alright well i did put arcsoft media backup which came with it.. but i only used it because i though what it simply did was bring the files on the external harddrive.. i did not know that it made a backup in NBZ format. I now physicaly transfered the files on the external hardrive.. so as it is now with the backup program installed i can't take it off? so i can uninstall the backup softward and delete the NBZ files and then be able to turn it off etc?
