Today I went to Bestbuy and bought this external harddrive

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6991605&type=product&id=1099392683637

I installed a 30 GB hardrive in it that I had laying around. But the problem is that its only seeing the drive as 10.7 GB total size on my computer. I reformated it, because it had an OS on it. But its still only seeing 10.7 GB.

Could it be because it might have partitions on it? How ca I get my whole 30 GB ?

    help please

    thanks

Make and model and age of your main computer would help as well. Probably the BIOS will not take greater than 10gigs, which is why we need the info. Bazza
