    Intel Motherboard: D995XBK
    Processor: Pentium D

I had a failed BIOS update and computer will not boot. Tries removing CMOS
    battery but that didn't work.

Intel's recovery procedure involves copying BIOS to a floppy that is configured as Drive A. My computer does not have a floppy. The first boot drive is the HD.

I can certainly get a floppy and plug it in but not sure if PC will reconize it.

    Any suggestions ... Thanks
