Sorry for all the posts here recently but I was woundering what you guys recomomend on resource wise for Linux. Ubuntu is great and all but it seems a little slow (even on a high end machine)
What do you guys reccomend for speed?

I personnaly use OpenSuse 10.2, apart the boot time that is lil slower, the OS loaded is very fast for me. I specify that i have 1GB or RAM too, I did tried Fedora too and Ubuntu but i prefer OpenSuse

None of the distros mentioned here classify as fast. OpenSuse is bloated and slow.

Check out Arch. Its one of the fastest distros out there.

Live CD, I'll give it a run. As a "noob" the install version looks like I'll need to do a little homework.
    Bug.
