Got a mac for work and PC at home so all this started when I wanted to download Windows Migration Assistant and was told I needed Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5


when I could not install it I tried to remove Net Framework 1 and 2 to start again but that didn't work either.


Now cannot get windows explorer or search to work properly so went back to an earlier restore point

 

Run a chkdsk. What version of Windows are you running ??
