faulty remote media player remote control

I have a 3.5" USB hard disk with media playback function. The remote control only works partially, the enter button and fast forward button do not work. I have searched for a replacement online but am getting nowhere :cry. Can anyone direct me to where I can find a replacement?

A brand and model # would be helpful.

 

if it is a IR remote u can fix it. To teat all buttons aim the remote at the lens of a digital camera r or cell phone. U will see the invisible IR signal.

 

This is generic HDD Media Player and it is not branded, there is only a faded barcode on the bottom. I am attaching a picture of the remote. I don't have a digital camera but aimed it at my remote camera and pressed one of the buttons that works - couldn't see anything happening... Not sure what an "invisible" IR signal would look like!
