Favorite Game of ALL TIME!!

Alright people lets hear it, i've been a console person most of my life so im quite fond of all the resident evil games, and halo is up there at 2nd, i dont know about the rest of my list played too many games to narrow it down. ok so whats you fav game ?

Followed closely by Commander Keen

Are they the best games I've played? Not likely. But they were the ones that hooked me on computers and got me playing. Plus nostalgia always makes things seem better than they really were.

Currently playing a lot of 1942 Secret Weapons, enjoy most FPS - especially WWII ones.

Still keep going back to Age of Empires II

Looking back on what game I have spent the most time with in the last 10 years....
Diablo, by far the most gaming I have done. I am including the original and expansions. I did not think about how much "fun" a game is. That title ususally goes to the game of the week. But what one I return to time after time and still enjoy.
Starcraft is still played here at LAN parties with our custom maps.
All the FPS (Q3, U2, RTCW, HL, FA, CS, etc.) are fun mostly because of the community. Playing with your favorite group is fun. Any of the FPS are pretty much interchangable except for a preference in equipment, physics or graphics. The games themselves are not truely great, even though the experience during play might be.

So post away, but THINK - what makes a game great to you?

 

Motocross Madness 2 is still my all time favorite game. Spent alot of time creating tracks & skins for that game. As of the moment BF1942 seems to be my drug of choice.

 

Console gaming: Any Final Fantasy game
PC Gaming: Half-Life and it's 100's of mods

 

yeah FF is up there those are probably the games i have spent the most time on

 

The command and conquer series.

 

Command & Conquer series and Starcraft, just a strategy nut here... and SC is still alot of fun over B.net with the custom maps

I have em all. Currently Playing Zero Hour. I made swatshark go out and buy Generals and Zero Hour
And finally Battlefield 1942 and the mods, Desert Combat and DC Extended are right up there for best FPS game for me.

oh man, I have been playing FighterAce for almost 5 years, but I wouldnt call it the best game ever, but I made a lot of friends playing it. I prefer the massive multiplayer online games, I like being able to build up a charater and I love playing against other people, playing against AI have become boring for me.

I did however love GTA hehe, the radio stations are a laugh.

Though not my absolute favorite, i used to spend many many hours playing duck hunt (NES) and Missle Defense 3-D (Sega master system).

Can't forget Worms either.

OMG... I didn't think anyone else besides me even knew about those games. (exaggerating, of course) I'm glad to see someone else besides myself found those games enjoyable and challenging.

I don't play online or consoles, but what makes a game great for me is an involving and well developed story, and good character development and character interaction.

FPS: Deus Ex & Medal of Honor Allied Assault. Tron 2.0 gets a special mention for sheer geekyness.

Adventure: The Longest Journey and Siberia

favorite game

definitely has to be genre of FPS as a whole, games like wolfenstien, doom, and duke nukem are classic, and then you have The half-life series, but right now i'm really into Day of Defeat.

I forgot about those. They were so fun .

lol i was just thinking about Wonderboy and then i scrolled down and saw you mentioned it.... good stuff... wish i remember what i did with my SEGA Mastersystem.... i loved all the cool vehicles you could buy/use in Alex The Kidd... also, those Rock/Paper/Scissor games at the end of each castle were classic =]

 

Kingdom hearts 2 comes out around christmas I can't wait!!! and they've also made a short FF7 movie that will come out around the same time. YAY!!!!!!
