fedora download is slow

    I am downloading linux at a slow rate and want to use a fatser way. I am using a download manager with fedora. I want to use port forwarding of possible to speed it up.



    q)if i can ftp a file at a slow speed anyway how does port forward improve the speed if at all?

    q)Can this work as i am confused about this eg assign a static IP to which pc the wirelsess or other pc with router.
