fight club

I bought the Fight Club DVD
I do not have a DVD player
but I have one on my PC and an X-Box
the movie would not play in the X-box
so I decided to watch it on my PC

nope wont play here either
I had something that might play it
and I cannot remember what it was

if anybody has any advice for me
please let me know

WMP requires an external codec which must be purchased separately to play DVDs. There are some software DVD players here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?id=32&sort=7 I'd recommend WinDVD if you are willing to pay, and there also some freeware players too. Google for MaximusDVD ( I found a copy at Winsites: http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?5000000037342 ) It has a lot of features for freeware, though it's developers are long gone from the web.

Well, according to that link it might be a copy-protection issue. Try DVD43 (remember to also install Patin-Couffin), it is a small freeware app that runs in the background and should take care of regional and CSS issues.

 

windvd is what I had.
but even berfore I ever had it I never had a problem playing dvd's
I DL Zoom win amp
but when I put the dvd in shouldn't there be an autoplay
there isn't
I only have the option to view files ar play in
real one or WMP

and it that why I cannot pplay it in the X box as well?

now I am having trouble with hellboy. . . .

They both worked on my 2nd comp with SP2.

Did you try the Maximus DVD and the Directshow filter? I've only had my 2nd comp up for a month, it's still a very fresh install, perhaps WinDVD or something else you once had is causing conflicts due to an old file, DLL, or registry item that didn't get uninstalled.
