There is a program called "Files opened" in my programs. Does anyone know if this is malware? The name is so generic that I only found one response to it on yahoosearch from Microsoft and that was not helpful. Thank you.

Right click it, select properties then look at the Target path and type what it says here.

Hi, I ran all of the programs in the Read and Run First thread in the Malware section but still, my IE changes my addresses from http: to https: even when I specifically enter them in the address bar as http: Please advise what to do next.

Please go back to your original thread for this issue:

You should deal with only one issue per thread so that you and others can keep track of what is happening.

Thank you but I still need to find out if this "Files Opened" program belongs in my program list.

    fizkowie...

Is "Files opened" a file or a folder?

Also, which version of Windows is this?

    Hey fizkowie. :)
First things first. You are already working with dr.moriarty in malware remowal. Please do not make any changes on the machine till the Doc gives you the all clear.
Beside some run of the mill ad-ware you also have a ZeroAccess infection. You haven't been able to locate and post the MBAM log. Here it is .
Please attach that in your thread in Malware Removal.

Just some info on your question.

And a VT scan- it was only flagged by Avast.

So back to first things first, clean up in Malware Removal and only then make any changes on this machine.

    Cheers..

Thank you for the directions to the MBAM log. I will post it tonight after I get home from work.

Also, will remove the Files Opened once I get the computer clean.

    Again, much thanks.
