I dunno. I've been using nightly 9.0.a and dont wind up with 3gigs of RAM tied up after an hour of browsing .

Actually nightly does much better with memory than other ff versions, although I do not yet have 7 .
You did see the word "DON'T" in the quote, yeh ?

And how do you go around the fact that many add-ons don't work with Nightly?

The only add-ons that arent working (that I have) at this point is TINEYE and MODIFY HEADERS. You can also go into about:config and change a boolean value or two which will allow all your addons to be functional (to some extent, at least), but I haven't bothered since adblock and flashblock are working, which are my main addons I want working .

After Fx v 7 was installed this AM, I noticed that part of the address in the address bar was removed, namely: http:// That's new in v 7.

    Fix for it:
type about:config in address bar and type in filter: browser.urlbar.trimURLs and when it pops up toggle to false

Hehe, now I have the http:// back again. :) That's one of the reasons I love Fx, it's so customizable. Now when Palemoon updates to v 7 gotta to do same.

PS: All my addons work fine.

Thanks for that Oma, Hadn't noticed it but set it to false and the http is back.
Not sure if it showed https when on a secure web site but it does now.

Thanks, very handy tip I haven't noticed too until you posted about this.

I kinda like it without the HTTP though :D

If shown as default=true (remove http) and when accessing a https site it will show as https.

So it does, Thanks for that.
Will now leave it as 'true' with the ability to check secure sites at a glance.

I have tried Firefox 7 but it's seems to be browsing pages really slow. I got fed up with it in the end and uninstalled it and went back to Slimbrowser. Which at the moment seems alot faster then Fx 7

FYI. Just read today that the problems with the *hidden* addons may also affect Thunderbird if one has also addons installed in TB. If that's the case an update will also issued for TB.
