FireFox Browser History Will Not Clear

I have cleared everything within FF, used CCleaner, etc., but the history will not budge.

Incidentally, there was an issue with - what I thought - was a problem with Bonjour, so I removed that using the recommendations found here (tweaked for Vista). Succeeded with its removal, however I am still having the above problem, and my clock keeps resetting itself.

Any suggestions?

Disclosure: I am not computer savvy (obviously), but I am using a new Sony Vaio I purchased three weeks ago because it was cute (small) and a beautiful pink, if that gives you further indication. :-o
