After my latest update of Firefox a few weeks ago, it crashes when I visit certain sites, (like major geeks and news sites), but works fine on other sites.

The debug button is not helpful to me since I don't speak machine language.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    My Current version is
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0

    I think I fixed it

Did some googling and found a media connectivity plug in for Firefox.
I think it lets you manage how embedded media can autoload.

I think Flash bannerfarm was trying to play some ads or something and one of my security settings or anti hijack things might have resisted the attempt to the point that Firefox had to close.

Good Grief! Does this mean I am becoming a Geek?

Wow, I must be the only one with this problem.
I would have thought more folks would have experienced this malfunction with the popularity of firefox.
