Firefox-won't fully load after computer in use for a while

I am running Mozilla's Firefox as a browser on a Win 98 machine. It is version 1.0.4. When first starting the machine in the morning the browser works fine, but as the day progresses if I open the browser it will not fully load. Yahooa is my home page and it comes up all spotty or blotchy. When you move the cursor around the page pieces of it will start to appear, so it is there but not showing up fully on the screen. Any help from Firefox users would be greatly appreciated.

 

Funny you mentioned that....I've noticed that problem periodically on my Firefox browser, when I'm on launchcast...which is a part of Yahoo!!

Curious to see if anybody comes up with something!!
