Firewall and Anti-Spyware Question

    What’s the commendation of this forum regarding firewall and anti-spyware choices. In other words, if one is running Norton or McAfee anti-virus software do you recommend turning on their firewall or Windows built-in firewall? Same question regarding anti-spyware. Turn on their anti-spyware or download and install Windows Defender? Thanks
