Firewall rules config for bittorrent client

I use Vuze and Bittorent on 3 pc's in my home. I connect to the internet using a Sagem F@ST 2504 adsl router. I have set rules for outgoing traffic and finished with an explicit deny rule. Everything works until I try to run a bittorent client. I have opened the listening port and have configured the client to use one outgoing port which I have also opened. Everthing works until I reapply my final explicit deny rule. The client stops downloading and the listening port shows as unreachable. Yet all other applications still work. remove the explicit dent rule and it starts downloading again.

Anyone got any ideas?
