Flat screen monitor

    I was given a Sony 15" flat screen monitor. I dont know how old it is.
    It will work good for a while then kinda fade out the best I can describe it.
    It doesnt turn off. I gently squeeze the side and the picture comes back.
    Any ideas what may be wrong with it?
