On my two-PC network I have an external USB drive attached to the desktop PC. It is a "mounted" drive and one of its folders is shared. If I leave the drive running and connected when the desktop PC is shut down and restarted, all is well. But, if the external drive is disconnected and plugged into the PC after the latter has been started, the 'shared' property and the share name are lost. Very annoying.

Has anyone come across this problem, and is there any suggestion for a solution?

    Cheers
