Followed your process but still a problem

I spent most of the day going through and executing your directions as best I could, but my browser still appears to be hijacked. I started here...

Run and Readme First Malware Removal
    forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

    From there I went to...
Fixing Google Redirection/Hijacking Problems, executed all the instructions and returned.

I don't think I have any emulation software and didn't exactly understand the directions for that, so I did skip that step (#4).

I did execute all of the other steps including Step 5 (CCleaner) and Step 6 (OS Specific Cleaning Instructions) for Vista & Windows 7 Malware Removal/Cleaning Procedure. I have Windows 7 64-bit.

I ran RogueKiller, Malwarebytes, TDSSKiller, HitmanPro and MGtools as instructed Running Malwarebytes was encouraging because it did find two problems that seemed to match my problem. The rest didn't appear to flag anything.

I've attached the files and I'm hopeful that you will see something that I've overlooked. It took a long time to crawl through all this and not sure how best to proceed from here.

I'm using McAffee and had attempted to use SuperAntiSpyware prior to seeing your directions. I disabled and changed settings per the instructions, but no luck.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Could you please attach the MGlogs.zip from running MGTools.exe? Thanks. :)

    Which browser redirects please?

    Download and run OTM.

Download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

    • Right-click OTM.exe And select " Run as administrator " to run it.
    • Paste the following code under the [IMG] area. Do not include the word Code.

    Code:
    :Files
    C:\windows\assembly\tmp\bckfg.tmp
    C:\windows\assembly\tmp\U\80000000.@
    C:\windows\assembly\tmp\U

    :Commands
    [emptytemp]
    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
    • Push the large [IMG] button.
    • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it in your next reply.

NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and attach the contents of that document back here in your next post.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista or Windows7) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!
