For a zip or 7z archive, what is the maximum password length?

Hi.

If I used a password that contained all characters (including special symbols), would a password of 5000 characters be stronger or about equally secure as a password of 256 characters?

I'm not sure how accurate it is but it seems even a 20 character password would be very secure.
