Formatong and partitioning a memory card?

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by christopherjellybean, May 19, 2009.

  1. IS this even possiable? Like partitoning a 2gb transflash card into 2 say 800Mb partitions? And if so How??!! And if your wondering why, it's for my Motorola K1m. It "sees" a 2gb transflash card but will only read 1GB and more than that and the phone won't start or it goes crazy trying to read it. Even when it's 1.01gb!!

Possible, certainly but windows will not be able to detect multiple partitions on a usb stick / memory card. Linux will.

    Good Luck

IMO you'd be better off using two 1gb cards instead of trying to 'force' an incompatible device to work....
