Frame Rates

I just OC'd my card.
I used the automatic "Optimal Frequencies" selection button.
It went from a stock 3.0 MHZ and 1.0 G, to 4.04 and 1.2
My question is, why is there "no difference al all" from the modification?
With all being equal there is no gain at all in frame rates.

What are using to test your card now that's it's oc'd? 3D mark or something else?

 

I used coolbits to guide me. The changes are made right at the NVIDIA display settings.
The frame rates are shown on Msoft flight sim X display.
I am using Everest for all other system monitoring.
Temp does not get above 47c.

The card I am referring to is the NVIDIA 6600.
I did perform an “A B A” test with all settings being equal nearly to the second (for the time on the clock) and within 5 feet of elevation.
I even tried rebooting after the changes, but it had no impact on the frame rates at all.

 

Your application may not need more video card.
Some applications are video limited, some are CPU limited, some are both. You might try a slight over or under clock on your CPU and see if that changes things. Flight sims are infamous for being CPU bound.

This is my system.
Could you please tell me or guide me to a site that will show/instruct me how to OC my CPU?
This is the top of the line CPU for this mobo.
I am not too concerned at this time about the card as I just received a 7950 and will install it in the next few days.
