First off, nice site. Well appreciated, I hope.

My system is infected with winiguard (ie popups) and I can't get rid of it. I've ran scans with my spy/virus remover with no luck. Manually, I did track down the .exe and locales.dll, but still it resides. It seems to have affected my current protection too, as I'm no longer able to update. #$%&!

    Any and all advice welcome.

    Thanks

Wow, three days, 17 looks and no responses. Good thing it wasn't an emergency, right.

Anyhoo, I removed it myself. For those infected open your registry edit and search for all things winiguard. Follow that up with a task manager edit and stop winiguard.exe, baloon.exe and cfrog.exe. Finally, run a system search for baloon.exe and cfrog.exe (they'll be buried in System32) and delete those as well.

I'll no longer be needing moderator assistance, so please delete my account.

    Thanks
