Funky CD-RW/DVD

    Hi all.

    My drive works....and it doesn't...

    I can play MechCommander, but not Stracraft or Icewind Dale. No information shows up when I load these disks.

    I can play Audio CD's with some skipping, but ripping them is another animal.

    I get choppy video when playing DVD's.

    Specs:

    Laptop HP DV1000
    1.21gb RAM
    1.4 GHZ
    80gb hd
    CD-RW/DVD = CRX830e ver JPK4 (Latest diver installed)

    no viruses or the like
