FX5700 vs CS issue

Hi All

I have reinstalled my PC, and now I only get 11,68 fps in the CS source test....Makes it to hard to play CS....with that kind of fps. I have updated with the newest driver for my card, but nothing happend...I have also tryed to go back to an older version that I know has been working before...still the same....I have run a Aida32, and have attached a report...so if anyone has any ideas please help me

Actually that system is very capable of playing HL2.

Did you try changing the settings in the options to low/medium?

In the video card properties in windows, is anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering set to application controlled. Is vertical sync set to application controlled?
What resolution and color depth are you using to play CS?

 

I found out that serval other players had the same issue....a solution could be (worked for me) is to ler directX 8.1 run the program...seems like there is a conflict with ver. 9.
