game taking up all resources

    I recently put Neverwinter Nights on to my computer, but when I start to play the game plays amazingly slow and laggy to the point where it is unplayable...My system resources are all being used by nwn however and I can't figure out why...I made it so that it would run really slowly and it still uses 100% of my resources and runs slow
    Any idea's of what could be wrong?

    What OS?

    Games use near 100% of cpu resources.

    Post your system specs as well.

    I'm on Windows XP.

    Comp has pentium 4 1.70ghz, 762 mb of ram, Dvd rom, not sure about the other stuff, but I know it's good enough for WOW, so it's definetly good enough for nwn

    Alright, I feel like a noob. I realized I haven't updated the driver for my card in a while...it runs fine now...sorry
