a quick search @ tigerdirect came up with this

    This and This

but im sure looking yourself you could probably find a better match

and that graphics card looks good to me ;) i dont know too much about leadtek ... but I haven't heard anything negative ... although I hear Half Life 2 performs much better on ATI cards ... but a 6800 should do it very well none-the-less

That performance is better on ATI because Vavle shafted Fx series by always enabling 32bit paths. You can read all about it on [h] forums. your "best" buy right now would be a 6600GT 128mb the performance diff between that 6800 and the 6600gt is marginal and the 6600GT is cheaper.

so guys is that a good deal? and is all that good for the game i wanna play? umm... you need like 2.6gig+ processor to run CS:Source and i see that the AMD card there is like 2.2gigs, would that work out? and should i get that ledtek card??? or what... or just the reg. 6800 or the GT?? im lost lol, if anyone esle has any other deals for me to get, call em out please

as much as I hate to admit it that board/cpu combo will school mine ... that RAM is value so depending on your budget you might consider getting better ... though those will still be good ... it supports dual channel so you'd want to get a pair either 2x256 or 2x512 depending on your budget(of course) ... I like my PQI (5400MBs read 2300MBs write according to aide and everest) ... but most seem to prefer corsair .. but i would read up a bit before you make the final purchase

i'm not familiar with the spec requirements of CS:S but I couldn't see that that board wouldn't handle it ... if you want an Intel I like what I got in my sig you can see me benchmarks in the benchmark section

of course don't forget a quality PSU , you don't want to fry all that stuff just because you wanted to save a buck or two skimping on that

also when they rate a game like 1GHz or higher ... they are referring to intels standard not AMDs ... and AMDs chips(much like Apples G series) are more efficient processors so they can compute the same amount of data in less time than an intel ... thus the intel chip has to run faster(having a higher clock speed) ... so if CS:S' requirement is 2.6GHz(i dont think it could be that high but Im assuming that's to play it with all the bells anf whistles) you would need(in theory) an AthlonXP 2600+

you could go down THIS and see what you like ... goto the manufacturers site and google search for reviews ... as for my PQIs, I hear they are best with an intel chipset ... so you may go for corsair instead ... but be sure and read reviews don't just go by me

i like my antec 480watt true power ... supposed the true power is the best in antecs series ... at least from what i hear ... enermax, PC power & cooling also make good PSUs ...

the most important thing is to read alot of reviews and articles ... www.tomshardware.com is a good start ... and don't just take the word of one single person because you know what you want out of your rig ... nobody else does

if you want to learn about the tech stuff in PCs www.pcguide.com is good ... that guy amazes me on how much he knows ... lotta times i can't understand what he is saying ... lol ... but i try dm it :p

alrite ima check out some reviews and stuff, i dont really kno whats so different about the 512MB RAM and the 1024MB RAM.... i mean in price lol, i mean there both almost the same price for them, and ones way better, if theres not a difference ima buy the 1024MB one you said earlier, so rite now, im probably buying the motherboard plus CPU you said eariler, the 1024MB RAM, and that leadtek GeForce 6800... ima get that probably goin to get that but im not sure yet, if theres a better one out there for the same price as the one a want, TELL! :) , so thats about all im pretty sure im gettin so far, pyrate is doin it all! i need more people to help! :p

might as well keep in this post and not make a new one just for a case but what kinda power supply would i need to power all of of the things im getting... im sure i will need a real good one.... but would this work? this case and power supply? ---> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=720575&Sku=D15-1010 ... its like a 450w PSU, or should buy a case with no PSU and get the PSU seperate, or will i need like a 500 or 600w one???
