Gateway 7330GZ ethernet controller

i have all the drivers that gateway provides, but in my device manager theres still a problem under "other devices" ethernet controller, i need the drivers to connect to a wired lan (cable ethernet). I contacted gateway tech and they keep telling me to reinstall all the network drivers....(did that zillions of times), theres gotta be a driver out there some where for this thing, i repair PC's myself....laptops seem to be givin me a jigger.

 

Try using SIW to identify the company that makes your NIC http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4387.html Once you find out who made the device, try to get a driver from their site instead of Gateway's.

Have you by any chance installed a different version of Windows on the machine?

You appear to have the BCM440x by BroadCom. Try this:

Be sure to install the chipset drivers from Gateway first (download from here http://support.gateway.com/support/...set Driver Revision: 5.1.1.1002&uid=203866825) and reboot after the chipset install finishes. Then install the BCM440x driver.
