    I have this motherboard. http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...L-SATA2 R2.0

I've been having graphics problems since updating to Win7 from XP as described in this thread and haven't found a suitable driver for my current graphics card.

I'm thinking of biting the bullet and just upgrading the video card anyways. Since AGP is so out of date now and not supported anymore, I might as well move up to PCI-E. The problem with this board is that it only supports PCI-E 4x when all these new and improved cards are PCI-E 16x. So I'm considering this card and motherboard. This is the motherboard in my brothers computer and when I put it together, it was very easy and very nicely set up. Let me know what you think or if it's even worth it.

If anyone has anything else they'd recommend, go right ahead!

The 9800 series has been basically discontinued and renamed the GTS250. The GTS250s are faster, run cooler, and have lower power requirements, but are still great cards for the price.

Unbelievable, all 3 of your links are 404s! :eek I would look at upgrading everything, CPU, mobo and RAM of course. Get a nice dual core with a couple gigs of RAM and a PCI-eX16 slot, they are very inexpensive these days. The GTX250 will cost the most in relation to the rest. Plus, you might need a new power supply. Oh , people are still selling the 9800GT's so check those out, like $30 less than the 250.

Really they are 404s? hmmmm, I updated it and of course it works find on my computer, weird. I actually just upgraded all my stuff about 1.5-2 years ago. I have an Intel core 2 duo, 4 gb, thermaltake psu, and so on. The only thing I did not upgrade was my video card. But now, it looks like my AGP video card does not want to work with Windows 7 so that's why I was looking at upgrading and to go to a PCI-E 16x because it would be something that would last me a while.
